I have built a pc running a soyo kt-400 ultra black mb, 2200+, 256MB ram, 80G hd and a Nvida(spelling) 64MB video card PCI. I have installed two different modems into this computer. Without the modem the pc works fine but with it it lock up completely. No mouse movement at all. It will lock up while watching a DVD or playing a game this is will happen after 5 to 10 minutes into the movie or game. It will also lock up online after 10 to 15 minutes. This is the error that I started to get after I installed the modem. The following boot-start or system-start drivers failed to load: hptpro. To let you know one was a US Robotics and the other is Zoom. My friend is having the exact same problem on the one he built and he is using a ASUS board.

I believe your board has on board LAN, have you disabled it? Perhaps there is a conflict with it and your modems, if you installed the board's LAN drivers from your installation cd.
