I'm sure someone out there knows what I mean...

I've got a PS2 mouse and if I have my volume turned up, when I move it on the screen I can hear a small buzz.

Is it just me? do I have super sensitive hearing? *jk*

Does anyone know what causes this and/or can it be eliminated?

Thanks in advance.

You may have a hum or buzz from the 60 Hz power line.Try to look what type of hardware is hooked to the computer particularly external power supplies for speakers etc.Good luck.

Is it a buzz or like a very short click like for every pixel you move your moose across, if so i had this problem awhile ago but i forget how i fixed it. I am not sure but i think it might have been cos i had my onboard sound & soundblaster installed at the same time.

If I move my mouse slowly, it sounds a little like a gigometer(sp?)...u know...the radiation detectors...

But higher in pitch...

Thanks for all the help so far...hoping a solution will come soon... :)

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I just put it down to electrical noise inside the computer. It's not really a problem as the sound is so small. The ac noise is a hum in the sound, not like what you describe. (the ac humm is generated by having a power and sound lead running parallel)

Everything you know is wrong
