Ok here's my story after talking to you guys and other experts, calling microsoft and having them tell me they no longer support preinstalled XP software and to call E-machines who wanted 20 bucks to talk to me I simply took the machine to Best Buy who loaded their licensed version on tmy machine and bingo the thing works.
