Text size and Screen Resolution

Comment:
I recently bought a 19TFT monitor and am playing about with setting it up for best viewing. The Screen is set to the recomended setting of 1280 X 1024 but when viewing web pages, the text seems small. I have set the Display DPI setting to 125% normal size but that setting only changes the default setting of the Windows information. How can I increase the Font size of the Web content? Is this set by the content provider? Changing the Text Size under the View menu makes no difference.

Go to IE > View > Text Size to adjust to your liking. Other than that, there is nothing you can do about the LCD native resolution. If you adjust it to any other size, it will look blurred.

Thanks for the replies. OK, I was wrong and what you say works. But not on all sites. I was specifically looking at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/ I am having difficulty viewing this site at this resolution and the Font size will not change.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/ is one of a number of websites that disable your browser ability to change the text size. Once again, there is nothing you can do.

I have it on at 1600 X 1200 and this is viewable on the Telegraph web pages but is not acceptable for daily use as the display is larger than the screen!
I suppose I have to accept that the Telegraph has disabled the browser and I will learn to live with it.
