text based prgram problem

Please help!
I am having some serious issues with any text box. It seems to slowly fill with unwanted writing and/or dots and lines en I am not typing anything. Can anyone PLEASE help?

Is this with a programme you have written?
(you've got a loop running?)

or does this happy to any textbox on any application - does it only happen when you are online ?
(maybe someone's hacking into your pc ? )

It happens to any text box on any application...all the time. It has been consistent for about 2 weeks.

Do you have a microphone plugged in to your soundcard? If so, go into the soundcard properties and mute the microphone.
