hi, is there anyone knows how to reduce the size of the internet temporary files folder in XP? when i right click the folder, the size of the folder is about 678 MB althought i change the setting of this folder to 100MB from 219 MB (default) under the internet properties. but it doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever. i also tried disk clean up and also disk defragment but no results.. any idea is appreciated .. thanks, author

Set you IE properties to empty the temperary internet files when you close your browser .I have mine set that way and it will empty them on dissconnect and then you can look at files and delete the cookies you dont want. And for some reason sometimes You can look in search and type temp and find files you wont find under IE properties.I dont know why they dont go away but I have deleted them in the past XP will remake the folder but it will be empty. Hope this helps
