temp internet files and hdd space

hi everybody, i have a problem, I've deleted everything in the temp internet files folder in the local settings dir, but it is still take up close to 2 gigs, but nothing is there. I have view all files on and I don't see what is taking up the space any ideas?

Try to open your internet explorer and clear the history in tools/internet options

I tried that it that didn't fix the problem. When i do a right click and check the properties of the temp internet folder, its still says 1.78 gigs in the folder, but there is nothing there? Any ideas, anyone have this problem?
