I have been having a problem with my XP Pro locking up and having to turn the computer off and then back on but I just bought a new video card and that seems to have fixed the problem. Now it is still temp. freezing when I try to connect to the "connect to" menu. Like clicking on start ---> connect to ---> (a 2 min. lock up) -----> FastAccess DSL. I am trying to figure out why that would be happening. Any ideas or solutions???
No I do that atleast once a week or more. An overcluttered computer is not the problem. I recently fdisked the hd and reinstalled xp pro and it continues to do it.
I have similar problem. When booting up I have to wait about 2 minutes before I can connect to ADSL. HEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

I just upgraded my computer to 768 ddr meg ram. I have windows XP pro and I have now the same problem. My system is locking up with DSL fast cable access. I have to restart my computer. Before, I had 528 ddr meg ram and I had no problem at all. My mother board is an asus A7v266E and my cpu is an athlon xp 1900. HELP!!!!
