You know everything in the C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temp is it okay to delete everything in it? Or the Temporary Internet Files? Because i scanned my computer with Norton and alot of the files that delete failed was in my Temp Folder. So would my computer malfuction or crash and bust if i deleted everything in my Temp Folder?

It is normally safe to empty these folders. The reason they fail to delete is because they will be in use by the program that put them there. Close all programs (check background processes also) & then try to delete them again or get a PC cleaner. I have just started using the free version of CCleaner with no probs so far but there are others that will cost you. eg:Tracks Eraser, WindowWasher.

If you have a problem deleting any files in your Temp folder, you might also be able to delete them after booting into Safe Mode. You may already know how to do this, but restart the PC, then start tapping the F8 key before it has a chance to boot into Normal mode - then select Safe Mode from the available boot options that you will see. (This is especially handy if you need to delete certain viruses which have attached to files that load during the Normal bootup).

you can always delete from the command line..works like a charm or open notepad..leave it empty. name that file the same as the one you want to delete..and when it asks you if you want to replace file, say yes and delete normally
