I am having problems with certain download programs that use TCP Ports.(EX: WINMX AND AZUREUS) I am using Norton Antiviurs, SP2 Windows Firewall, and am on a LAN connection. For some reason, these certain programs cannot connect on their default ports respectively, for Azureus 6881, and for Winmx 6699. However, I am not sure what ports I have open and can use. I am really new at this port stuff, though I am not new to computing. Can somebody help me?

Thanks,
-Ryan

I'm not familiar with win firewall but in Zone Zlarm you can view/change which ports are open/blocked.

It was not obvious in ZA where to find it, so I used the on-line help.

go t control panel
go into windows firewall/exceptions and click on the the program from the list and add port number:-)
you need to type the name of the program and then add the port number tcp & udp.
sounds confusing but when you get in there you'll see.
