My taskbar and start menu disappear, while working in windows xp pro. I am able to refresh by going into the control panel- taskbar menu. Keeps happening though, any ideas on how to fix?!

Are you sure it is not hidden. If you press ctrl+esc does you start menu pop-up. If it does you may have auto-hide enabled.

Tufenuf - I tried two scripts to restore my taskbar and registry files...still no go. It's not happening as frequently now though. Do you think I need to reinstall my OS, or is there anything else I can do to try and fix?
