I have a friend who is having problems with his computer. At startup, he gets this Casino Game popup, his System32 folder opens, and his taskbar disappears.
I have run Ad-aware 6.0 and the latest version of SpyBot. I have also saved a HijackThis log if anyone would like to take a look at that. The taskbar has reappeared for now and appears to be working.
I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this before, and if running Ad-aware and Spybot should take care of it. Thanks!

a good start would be to check what he has running at startup.
1. press ctl+alt+del and go to file 2. click on run 3. enter "msconfig" 4. in the system configuration utility click on the "startup" tab 5. look for anything that shouldnt be running itself. if you dont know if it should be running itself then google it. 6. uncheck anything that shouldnt be there. it wont get rid of the malicious software, but it should disable it. after that you can concentrate ong etting rid of it.
