Task Schedule - Could Not Start
Name: Randy Bell Date: November 3, 2003 at 09:31:34 Pacific OS: Windows XP Pro CPU/Ram: P4-512MB
Comment:
The task scheduler shows a status of 'Could not start' after a few weeks of working.
The fix is to set the password again, then the tasks will run fine for a while.
I have checked the user accounts passwords are not changing or expiring. It also doesn't matter if I set the task with a different account.

Click Start, Run... and type "services.msc" (without the quotes). Scroll down the list until you find Task Scheduler. Right-click it and select Properties. Change the Startup type to Automatic. Click Start (on the dialog box) and press OK. Now exit Services and try again.
I'm not entirely sure whether this would work, it's just a guess.
