Had malware issue which has been cleaned out using Super Spyware and Malware. Task Manager will not open with ctl, alt delete nor will Task Manager file open. The advice on your web page says to go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, but after I get to that point I do not see a Task Manager to change the value on. Clicking on System brings up Current Control Set nothing about Task Manager.

Download, update & run anti malware from www.malwarebytes.org
How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

Gim, Follow the instructions at the link below. Methods 1 or 2 are painless and should correct your problem.

Thanks for the response. I have updated and scanned with Malwarebytes. Everything clean but Task Manager still not re-activated and no messages of any kind when I attempt to engage it.

Tufenuf:
Thank you for your suggestions. Have not yet embarked on Methods 1,2,. Method 3 does not get me to a Disable Task Mgr entry. Right pane simply shows Name:System;TypeSZ;Data (value not set).
Time and courage permitting I shall try methods 1 and 2 and advise. FYI Unable to return to previous Restore Date as previous dates eliminated during Mal-ware removal 17 Jun..
gim.

Tulenuf:
Slight error in above reporting - at Registry - System in Right Pane shows under Name -a flag icon with ab(Default) then Type SZ and Data(value not set)

Tufenuf:
I tried Method 1 as you suggested in Response #2 by typing in Run: REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f. A brief flash of a small black screen with a header appears but nothing happens. Its trying but so far no success.
