HI, Can anyone tell me what exactly aim.exe is in the task manager processes on my computer? It is labeled owner under user process and it takes up 612K but other than that I looked in task lists but did not find it there and I am still wondering what it is for or if I need it as a running process. Any help would be great. Thanks Gary

"Y" - Normally leave to run at start-up
"N" - Not required - typically infrequently used tasks that can be started manually if necessary
"U" - User's choice - depends whether a user deems it necessary
"X" - Definitely not required - typically viruses, spyware, adware and "resource hogs"
"?" - Unknown

I just now looked it up but could only find Backweb.exe and that is not what I have as far as I know so what are the numbers for or what do they mean? Thanks again, Gary
