Tablet related cursor problem

June 14, 2009 at 10:05:35
Specs: Windows XP
Hey, I've got this weird problem with my Wacom Intous2 tablet;
As I click and hold with my pen, windows automatically creates a small magnetic area that gives the cursor a twitch-like movement in the start of every drawing stroke. Around the cursor, this symbol appears. Shortly the click ("left-click") is transformed into a right click, doing nothing of what I want it to do.

I've been looking around and fiddling with the options of both mouse and tablet, but I can't seem to find the option to turn it off.
This only happens when I'm using my tablet, and started to happen quite recently. May it have something with plug-ins to do?

Best Regards
~Dorfen

Tatchudorf, purely a SWAG, delete your 'index.dat' file. The 'twitchy'[ pen sorta sounds like 'buffering' which can happen if memory's otherwise occupied.
A common ailment is a file called 'index.dat'. It gets read every time and can take quite a while if it’s too bloated. It's like a log file and keeps a record of every site you visit on the web. Empty, it's 32K, but it can grow HUGE. It's a protected file and can't be deleted by normal methods. CCleaner (free @: http://www.ccleaner.com/) can get rid of it (not to worry, it gets rebuilt EMPTY on the next boot.).

The problem disappeared as I tried reinstalling the tablet driver and restarted the comp. I believe it may come back sooner or later, but meh.

Thank you very much for taking your time to try to help me out anyway, Ed.
