hello all, right now my dads laptop is getting verbal abuse, that is worst then road rage lol.

And like i would format the thing for him cause i know that is the problem, its all wonky, and messed up, and slow as hell as if there was a P2 and 64 MB of ram lol, thats how slow its going. And the internet is all glitchy.

Because this laptop was used and i told my dad to order the recover CD from acer hes like ok ok and doesnt do it, then gets mad at me for not fixing the laptop O.o....

So i would like to know if i put on windows XP home edition, can i place the tablet options somehow so that u can use the pen, cause sooner or later i am going to need to call jerry springer cause of all the verbal abuse the laptop is getting lol. help would be very much appreciated.

So just to sum up, i want to place home edition on the laptop then download tablet extras mostly just to be able to use the pen, so like is tere a driver u can use or something?

I am confused. There is no Tablet Options in Windows XP Home Edition. Were you talking about Windows XP Tablet PC instead?

Take charge and order the CD for him. It would be easier than trying to get it back to OEM state any other way.

There was a pen driver for Win98 but I forgot the company's name. It is on some old Xplore tablets we have. Might see if that app is out there.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

I presume you have a Wacom tablet or similar... if so the required drivers come with the tablet. There are no native drivers in XP.

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

no i have a tablet pc where u can use a pen straight onto the screen therefore there are no drivers for it tey are all for windows XP tablet edition.

what happens if i install vista on this laptop the spec of it are...

1.2 GHz Centrino processor
512MB DDR Ram
Intel GMA 900
40GB HDD

i know the stats r rauchy but if i take off the aero of vista and whatnot cause i know it has tablet support do u think it will run nice?? cause this seems to be the only option i have rigt now.
