Comment:

When adding tables in MS Word 2003 the default is that they have borders, to take them off I have to right click them select "Tables" and go to "Borders and shading" and select "None"

My question is does anyone know if I can make this the default? I want to add tables and have them without borders by default.

Thanks to anyone who might have an answer.

When you select Insert Table, there's an option to "Set as default for New Tables." Check that box. Then go to AutoFormat and remove the borders.
