The power button on my computer is stuck, and I can not push it to turn the computer on. I have no clue what to do, the computer works perfect, I have no clue how it happened. How do I get the power button to "unstick". It is a push button, and when I push it, and pry it with a screwdriver, it moves a little, but will not spring back out!! Thanks!

Replace it.
replace it? how do I open the front cover of the computer do get in there? I can open the side cover, but there is no access to the front of part of the computer system (where the power button is) from there
It's a facade panel. It pops off or has screws holding it on on most cases.
Should be either clips or screws holding the front cover once you get the sides off,
If not find a tech store" Please Post back to let us know if we helped "
I know with some Gateways, this would require a newer bezel, hopefully that is not the case here or else you might end rigging up a button power the crude way.
Yeh, being an E-Machines they may have welded the thing on.LOL!
just got the front cover off, there was plastic covering it, and I cut the plastic off, and finally got it unstuck. Thanks so much everyone!!!
You are welcome. Good luck.
