Hi, my PC was working ok up until last weekend, then on monday I realised that I could no longer read my e-mails through Incredimail, I can receive them and see who they are from but when I try to read them I only have a grey screen. I tried updating and re-installing Incredimail but that did not help so I was going to restore the PC to the weekend but all my restore points had been removed even though I had not turned it off. Since then I have noticed that each day any restore points that have been created are removed by the next day, I am running an antivirus supplied by NTL ( NTL Netguard) which updates every 30 mins and that has not found anything. Also MSN Messenger will no longer work and once I deleted it I was not able to re-install either. I ran Ad-Aware SE, C-Cleaner, Spybot Search and Destroy and Tweak Now Reg Cleaner before all this happened, I have never had any problems with these programs before so I don't think it has anything to do with them. Please can anybody help me as I am reluctant to wipe my hard drive and start all over again.Sandra

this can happen if the drive does not have enough space left to create restore points. In the "My Computer" window right click the Local drive, properties, to see how much free space is available.

Probably you don't have much space left to keep many restore points.
You can try this:
- At Windows Explores select Tools - Options - View and select View Hidden Files. Also, deselect to hyde system files.
- After that look at your C:\ for a folder called System Volume INformation. There you can find the restore points, if exist.
- Look for one that has a date before the mess happened. If you found, reply to this message.

Hi, thanks for your replies, I have an 80GB hard drive and currently only 50% of it is in use, so I don't think that is the problem.I have searched for the System Volume file that you suggested but could not find it, I searched using the PC's search and looked in all files and folders even hidden ones.So if anyone has any other ideas I would be grateful.Regards Sandra.
