system32\drivers\pci.sys corrupt or miss

i installed a scanner and the drivers and when i went to scan i got a blue screen and had to restart then on boot it gave the message system32\drivers\pci.sys corrupt or missing. i dont know what to do please help

I Had win 98, then went to win mill to win xp then told me my printer was not compatiable so got new printer lexmark x63 then when on net it closed down said memory loss systems 32\drives/pci.sys crrupt or missing What do I do to Correct this prolbem

I run win 2000 pro, I got a 'missing ntoskrnl.exe@ error at bootup. I have tried to restore the OS using the Start-up floppies but I now get a pci.sys corrupted message. How do I solve the prob.
