OS: windows XP home edition
CPU/Ram: 2.4 GHz 256 MB RAM

hello my dell computer has a strange problem everytime my computer starts up and i log on the system 32 folder pops up. pointless but annoying so if any one could help that would be great.

desktop:
Dell 2.5 GHz cpu, 256 Mb RAM, 60 Gb hd.

PDA:
dell axim x50v
624 mhz.

jcortes, If you have a Dell Dimension system having
a factory installed Creative Labs Audigy2 sound card try this:
Open the MSCONFIG utility (Start/Run type in MSCONFIG click OK) and deselect (uncheck) the /l:ENG entry from
the STARTUP tab, click Apply, click OK and restart your computer.

The Dell Patch which fixes this problem is available to download at the link below.

If none of the previous suggestions solve the problem go to the link below and download & run the "System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot" Fix. It's Number 260 in the right side column. It has worked for others.
