Reply: (edit)My folder C:\WINDOWS\system is there in windows directory but system32 isn't... I seriously doubt it. If the system32 folder were missing, you will have no windows. i_XpUser

Reply: (edit)timalan, It's possible that you may have accidently dragged the System32 folder into possibly the System folder. Open the folders close(both above & below including the System folder) using Windows Explorer and you may find the System32 folder. If you find it just drag & drop it where it's supposed to be. Reply: (edit)In windows explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View, and untick "Hide operating system files". Now go to your System32 folder, and delete the following: cmd.com regedit.com tasklist.com taskkill.com Also get rid of these programs from Add/Remove programs: 180 Search assistant Power Scan (assuming no ones scanner prog has this name) Internet Optimizer ISTsvc Email me if you have any queries.
