I have just fitted a K7VT2 motherboard and a geforce2 mx 400 graphics card. The system starts up, i can access the bios ect but after that point an error message appears saying: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer, the following also appears: stop: 0X0000007B(0XFC53640, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000) When I use my existing motherboard which has onboard graphics the system boots up fine. Are there drivers I need to remove first?

Well actualy yes. If i undersatnd your situation, you have both a GE-Force 4 MX 400 for your existing PC which already has a integrated video chip on it and when you boot up your pc it messes up. Well if that is the case i think i can help you. The first thing you must do is to remove your new graphic card and open windoes like before. When you do so, go in the control panal. Then go in device manager and find your integrated video card (your old one). Once you have, right click and click on "disable". Once that is done close you pc and reinsert the the new graphic card and open your pc. Then that should work becaseu there wont be any driver conflicts and hardware conflicts. I hope i fixed your problem.
