i have installed Win xp and win98 on with dual boot 98 is on fat32 an xp is on ntfs
and the problem what i have is in each partition their is a folder call named "system volume" and it has lot of files once i delete that folder computer getting stuck after the reboot the same folder is exist in each drive please tell me what should be the problem most like be

this is a hidden system file that should not be deleted.
It either has to do with system restore funtion, to safely clear these files use the disk cleanup utilty under the more options tab. Or you can just turn system restore funtion off.
you shouldn't go around deleting system fils, it will screw up your computer.

If you run System Restore you can configure or exclude drives individually.
You can also delete all restore points except the most recent one and it will cause no harm whatsoever. It just means(obviously!) that you will no longer be able to restore to those points.
Summary: My virus scanner told me that i have a virus in C:\System volume information...... I can not see that folder from the windows explorer. The virus scanner can not delete the file and it suggests that ...
