Comment: Hi, I have unknown problem with system tray icons. After installing win xp and application. I can see the Icons in system tray. However, after reboot I can not see all the Icons? I can see the McAfee. But not the speaker or other application I load. I have already checked the setting for those applications are set to show after logon. Could you please let me know WHY????? I have already reinstalled win XP software. After installation I can see the entire Icon on system tray when I reboot some of them I not there. Thanks in advance.

Reply: (edit) This might help. Right click on your task bar,and then click on properties on the pop up menu.At the bottom of the task bar properties is a box..hide inactive icons see if it needs to be unchecked.

Reply: (edit)I have the same problem. I reloaded XP and the icons are there. They disappear after the first time I do a Windows Update.
