Hi, I would like to remove or permanently hide an icon from the system tray without removing the actual program. The program doesn't allow you to access it either way. Can i do it somehow? Without using hide inactive icons option. Thanks in advance...

right click the task bar, choose "hide inactive icons" BUT......... also click customise, and choose to "always show" every icon except the one you want to hide. that's the easiest way i can think of doing it.

G'day
Right click on an used portion of the task bar and select 'Properties'.
In the 'Taskbar and Start Menu Properties' window that opens select the 'Customise' button. This should show a 'Customize Notifications' window. Choose the program you want to hide and slect the drop down menu item 'Always hide'.
Cheers

I use an old program called 'StartUp Cop', which used to be a freebie. You could try 'StartUp Control Panel', which is free. I haven't tried it, so you let us know how you make out.
