My system slows down when I try to play videos either from DVD, HDD or even the net. I have WMP 10, the ACE Mega Codecs Pac and all my G cards and S cards are upto date. Any ideas???

The system itself slows down, or the prgram you're running slows down?
Computers always slow down when there's a program running. If they didn't then there wouldn't be a need for fast processing and RAM. Videos especially like to eat your system useage because the files are usually so large.

the whole system slows down. Th WMP shows the connecting word at the bottom of the screen but never seems to connect. When I try to do something else it takes forever to get it to work. Until I close the WMP via the task manager everything is really slow.Once WMP is closed via the task manager everything speeds up again.
