My friend has an EMachine that had 4 viruses on it. Today, she's not able to connect it to the internet. She brought it over and I attempted to reinstall windows xp home. I went through it, and got 2 errors on the symantec ghost (one was 437). I put in my personal copy of windows (after her repair discs did nothing) and it says it has no c:/ drive. Can someone please help? I'm currently downloading from microsoft the boot disks.. not sure if that will help or not.

is it a ATA or SATA, or scuzzy hard drive? is it on a controller card?? if so you would have to hit f6 at the beginning of loading the setup files and add the driver for it so XP setup can see the hard drive
