I recently had problems with a the HP g85 all in one printer so i had to uninstall everything then reload the lot. In the process i didn't backup all my faxes and logs properly and i now want to system restore to a previous day to get them.
When i run system restore it goes through the normal process but when it reboots it says Change Unsucessful because no changes have been made to your computer.
I used to use system restore for minor problems and it worked.
Is there any way around this or a program that can retrieve deleted data???

System Restore doesn't monitor any personal Files - doesn't monitor My Documents at all - it monitors the Registry - the System Files and many Windows Settings

I know that but all the drivers and everything were installed. some of the hp files were system files.
If i've uninstalled everything then needed to go back the should be some changes that were made in the registry.
