Reply: (edit)No, last time I did a restore, was recently..mabey 1 or 2 moths ago and it went ok. Had no problems for a while. We did lose our cable connection several times. (Which includes phone/TV/Internet).

Reply: (edit) The only question I have is what was the reason for the original restore. Personally I have discovered that if I had a virus or trojan somewhat imbedded in my documents and settings area,a system restore didnt help me. One area that may help you is (administrative tools) this can be found in control panel - performance and maintenance - administrative tools - services - system restore. You need to right click on system restore, click on properties. In the middle of the window you will see Startup Type. It should by default be set to automatic. You need to change this to disabled and save it. Then you should reboot to see if this has helped you. Dont worry you can always go back in here later and reset it to automatic. If this worked i would also download a great freeware tool called CCleaner. This tool will clean not only hidden areas but also give your registry a cleanning. CCleaner works great I use it everyday. Hope to hear you were successful.
