This morning I was trying to do a system restore on my laptop. I was using the battery and it went dead before it was complete. Plug in, when restarted the restore box came up & I just X it out saying I would do it later. Now when I go into system tools click on system restore nothing happens. What did I do wrong& can it be fixed? If so how? Thank you all for your time & help.
Re-install System Restore My guess is this will remove all previous restore points. If you want to try and run SR from Safe Mode before you reinstall it - tap the F8 key during bootup (most machines) choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt - at the prompt type C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe (assuming XP is installed on C:\) follow onscreen directions.
