Right click my computer, properties, system restore. Now click the drive you want turned on and then click settings. Now uncheck the box.

Presumably the new drive is set to slave and by copying one disk to another it has copied the name as well.

If so, go to My Computer, right-click the new drive then rename it to, say, WD120 or any name that suits you.

i had the new 120gHD fitted by the shop i bought it from and i told him to make the new drive the master, which he said he did. The new 120gHD is now (C:) and the old 20gHD he renamed to (F) so if he made a mistake and didnt make the new HD master, is there a way i can tell what one of the HDs is the master..thankyou

The most certain way is to take the lid off the box and look at the little jumper position on each of the drives.
