any recommendations for system restore software as i like downloading things from kazaa but i keep picking up horrors. i would rather lose a few dats data than stop using kazaa

how about a decent antivirus program (NAV2002 handles itself quite well, get a firewall too while your at it)and a little common sense (ie that 24k file is unlikely to be what you think it is. download only from sources that have more than 3 people hosting it, the more the better. and read every part of the descriptions, if it has confilicting information be wary, etc)
system restore software is totaly unnecisary as long as you use some common sense

G'day, I use "drive image" as i reinstall quite often, gets my whole system on 3 cd's and only takes 15mins

Hi Quinton, I do alot of the same stuff you seem to be doing. I love GO-BACK from Roxio. It has saved me many of time..You can open the go-back log and see just what went where and erase to a point back in time if you need to.If your system wont restart go-back will allow to revert back to before the problem . go-back does use up 10% of your hard drive space but you can set it for less.I' ve had it for years and after one try with xp restore I now have it on My new computer.
