Comment: I can't restore my system. When i'm selecting any restore poing then the computer restrats and saying my computer can't be restored. Any idea??

Reply: (edit)It is possible that your system restore was disabled. If you have your cd, then your best bet is to reinstall windows xp.

Reply: (edit)Right click on "my computer," click properties, then click on System Restore tab. Put a check in the box for "turn off system restore." Click apply, then reboot your computer. After the system reboots, navigate to the system restore tab and turn it back on. Click apply. Navigate to "system tools," restore, and choose "create a restore point." Put in a name for the new restore point. Try and restore the new point just created. It should work properly. You will now be able to use system restore (from this date on but not back prior to the day you do this procedure. Good luck. Same thing happened to me. Jimi.
