It does the same thing in safe mode but on that article it mentioned using system restore from the repair console. Is this the one located on the xp disc, if so is there any articles explaining how to do this or are you able to explain how to do this?

Thanks

I'm not talking about safe mode here, from the option below, you can see there is a safe mode with command prompt available at the Windows Advanced Options menu.

Please select an option:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Debugging Mode

Start Windows Normally
Reboot
Return to OS Choices Menu

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.

Select Safe Mode with Command Prompt
At the safe mode command prompt type:

%systemroot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

Press Enter and follow the restore options.

Ok i tried that aswell and it got to Mup.sys and thats when it restarted. So i'm thinking it might be a corrupted file. Would it be possible to replace this file with the same file of another computer? Or what do you think?

Thanks
