System Restore Error Report Crash

March 5, 2009 at 15:08:49
Specs: Windows XP
For a while now whatever Microsoft program I open doesn't get the time to boot up and I get an error report like so. I ignored the problem with MSN Messenger and tried reinstalling it when the setup itself crashed and gave me an error report. I tried doing a system restore as well to see if I could go back before this began, but it did the same as you can see here.

Now I tried starting it in my Safe mode with the command prompt and it still manages to crash in the same way. Please help.

Why not disable System Restore, reboot, then re-enable? And what does that have to do with MSN Messenger? Or is that a separate issue?

Well all my microsoft sort of things aren't working. Like when I browse through Internet explorer it crashes as well.
EDIT: And disabling it destroys the point that I want to get back to no ?

If you can't run System Restore, what's the point of having it enabled?

Boot to your XP CD and run a Windows Repair.
