system restore disabled

CPU/Ram: amd 2gb

There is no system restore tab on system properties, the service is running and set to automatic on administrator panel, and the registry key "DisableSR" is set to 0. For reference, I'm using SP2 Pro, and Kaspersky 6.

Try this, Start, Run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and press enter.

The first comes up with "System Restore has been turned off by group policy. TO turn on system restore contact your system Administrator."

I tried everything in the second link without success.

Seems pretty straightforward. Group Policy has disabled that option. If you want to have it enabled, you'll need to talk to your DA.

I'm logged on Administrator, and there is no /system/system restore folder under administrative templates. There is only Windows Media Player and Windows Update.
