When I open system restore it is just a blank box. When I type services.msc in the run command i get a script error message. I have tried every fix i could find in google, microsoft and several forums. Has anyone ever successfully fixed this without reinstalling the os?

No, actually, I'm not trying to use system restore. What happened is that when I go to services.msc I get a script error message. I researched it and found: Script error when starting services.msc, gpedit, etc. Problem: Whenever I start services.msc I receive this error: An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line: 107 Char: 1 Error: Object expected Code: 0 URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htm Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? When I click "YES" or "NO" the services window appears as usual. The system restore window also appears completely blank When I researched that on the web, I found that others had the same script error message also had the system restore page blank. So I am trying to fix this overall problem.
