Subject: System restarts when on internet
OS: Xp Professional
CPU/Ram: P2, 450mhz
Comment:

I have followed all instructions regarding the Blaster Virus (although nothing was found using "Stinger") and have applied the latest patches from mircosoft but still my PC restarts when I use the internet. I don't get any error messages whatsoever, the screen just suddenly goes blank at the system restarts.

This is so frustraing as I have just gone live with broadband and am dying to play with it!!! Please help.

Maybe one of the trojan sweepers you d/loaded accidentally removed an infected system file.

Try running SFC /SCANNOW from the Start menu, that will repair/replace all system files, oh, and have your Xp cd handy.

Is your cable modem connected via USB, if it is then try ethernet or get a USB Hub.
