Solved System Resources Low error (XP)

October 19, 2011 at 16:29:37
Specs: Windows XP
I keep getting a System Resource Low error on my computer when I never used to before when running the same number of applications. I'm running Windows XP. I thought there maybe a virus there but after running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - it came back clean.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I did that and it all points to a virus or malware...

Anything else you can think of that can help?

Thanks again!!!

✔ Best Answer
Low Resources generally means that Ram is being used without being released. Without knowing anything about your pc except that you are running XP giving a specific answer is nigh on impossible.

Have you updated to SP.3 plus all updates since then?

Please post your pc specs and version of XP being used.

Open Task Manager>Performance to view the CPU and Page File usage, then Processes to find out what's using the resources.

Google "Windows XP low resources" (without the double quotes) to find many suggestions.

Good luck
