I need help big time. I just recently decided to downgrade from Vista back to XP. While I was using my system recovery disks to downgrade the disk driver stopped reading the cds. I can't get into windows XP and I don't know how to restart System Recovery
Any solutions?

To my knowledge you can't "downgrade" from Vista to XP. You have to do a new xp install.
So did you try to run the recovery cds from vista?
I think you are suppossed to either have an option via the bios to load the cds or the first one is bootable and starts the restore to factory defaults. It depends on your system.
But you never run a OS install from within an installed OS. It's kinda like trying to do replacement leg surgury while running a marathon.
There may be a readme file on the first recovery cd that tells you the proper procedure to follow. Otherwise go online to the system manufacturers web site, lookup your model, download/print/read the docs. They should tell you what to do.
Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?

The computer came originally installed with Windows XP. I was using the recovery disks that came with my computer, but during the system recovery it got stuck at insert disk 6. The cd drive stopped reading cds and I can't finish. I can't get into windows or anything.
