My computer recently was having all kinds of trouble so I decided to do a system recovery to take it back to it's original settings. When it starts up, there is an option to press F10 which takes you to the recovery.
The hard drive was split into one regular partition, and another partition which has the recovery process on it (must be an HP thing??). I ran the recovery and everything seemed to go good, but on reboot, it sits with a blank screen with the cursor flashing in the top left corner.
I don't have a Windows disk, just the stupid recovery partition on the hd. I can't boot to safe mode or anything....just get the cursor. I ran the recovery again but still had the same result.
Thanks for any ideas on how to fix this!!

any additonal hardware installed AFTER you purchased the computer? then remove it.

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

Hi
Yes I had installed a wireless nic......I removed it, still won't boot. Tried to press F10 on start up to run the recovery without the nic....now that won't even work!
thanks
