system properties, cpu speed missing?

CPU/Ram: intel core 2 duo 1.66ghz/ 4gig ddr2

so ive already dug through google and i can't find an answer. in my system properties where my cpu speed is supposed to be, its just blank and only shows 2gigs for my memory and no speed at all, ive tried enabling all my services, and setting things to default and i don't know what to do, i would really like that back please.

It grabs the information from:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0

make sure the key exists

yes the value is there, and when i look in the registry it does show the speed correctly in the registry, but it still doesnt show in system properties. ???
