Is there anyway to lock my laptop (like the way Windows Key + L does) when I close my laptop?
I know i can always press windows key + L, but I would rather have close it, and forget about it protection.
Under Control Panel-> Power Options-> Advance-> I can choose to standby when i close my laptop, and prompt for password when coming off standby BUT! standby disconnects my wireless internet connections, and if i'm downloading something it will stop it.
I'm thinking isn't there somewhere in the registry that I could change that at?

No there isn't. The only way to get it to prompt you is choose 1 min for your screen saver... (pain if your not closed lid) or standby. It would be much easier to lock the machine each time.
