System idle process

my computer is runing extreamly slow so when i open task manager it shows sustem idle process using 99% of cpu is there anyway i can kill this process or remove it or block it or anything i have done a virus scan and spy/ad wear scan and everything is clean please help me out!!

well my computer is extreamly slow to load windows or open anything such as internet explorer or my computer

Maybe so, but surely you understand that 'idle' means 'not busy' and that it is in no way a process that can be halted.

There are numerous complaints regarding 'slow computers' but it's not exactly a precise term (and may be a matter of perception)

My first computer ran at 8MHz - it was slow

You might consider performing basic housecleaning - clear out your temporary internet file cache (CCleaner is good for that) and maybe try defragging the drive

OS: cp home
CPU/Ram: lots

i use crap cleaner and its all clean i try to load disk defrag and it says snap-in failed to initalize

Is this from XP's defrag? Did you have another defragging program at one time? If so, see:
