I'm having an odd issue with my fonts. Before a system repair, I had fonts in MS Word Fonts Menu appear to be a large bold Arial font.
Well, that's gone, and now they are in misc windows here and there. Here's an example: http://guice.hypermart.net/bad-fonts.gif
The only thread I can find on this is http://computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/28722.html
While it's the same problem I have, none of the listed suggestions worked.Any idea what's causing this? Unfortunatly I don't have a screen shot of 'Before' to even attempt to try and identify the font that was originally there.
I've used TeakUI's font repair utility, but that proved to be worse than useless. (clicked 'Repair' and nothing appeared to happen)
Help ... It's been like this for a while. I've searched all over, and no go.

i have the same problem but it is the "system" font provided by windows. it is driving me nuts! did u delete any fonts?

Hello,
http://www.plattevalley.net/~ffkoch/internet.jpg should be a screenshot before your fonts were corrupted. The font depicted is by default the Tahoma font. You may see whether the %systemroot%\fonts\tahoma.ttf file is present on your system. (Note: %systemroot% is normally c:\windows or c:\winnt, but you can use %systemroot% just like c:\windows or c:\winnt.) If I forget about this message, just email me, since I don't usually check back at newsgroups. Thanks.

Hello again,
In case I told you wrong, the font may also be MS Sans Serif. The information under the title "Change the system font in Windows 2000" at the page http://www.members.cox.net/scotterpops/fixes/fixes9b.html may be of help (Windows 2000 has a fundamental structure much like Windows 2000).
