Can anyone help me solve my problem?

System Information:
Windows XP Professional w/Service Pack 2
AMD 64 Athlon 3000+ at 2.00Ghz
512DDR400 Ram
Asus K8S-MX Motherboard
Onboard SiS-760 Graphics Chip

My problem is: my computer automatically restarts when I play games after a while

What I tried:
-Downloading the newest drivers and installing them
-Disabling automatic restart on system failure - When I did this, a few minnutes later in windows, a blue screen appeared saying it had to shut windows down to prevent damage to my computer. It was talking about checking hardware/software installations and Memory dump and stuff I don't understand.

Things I'm thinking about doing:
-Buying a graphics card instead of using SiS - will this solve the problem?
-Taking the computer back to the store and exchanging the motherboard (I doubt it though unless the problem is really serious)

Can anyone give me solutions to this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

if it is happening after gaming you need to check the CPU tempas it may getting too hot. Look in the bios after it shuts down for the temp if you dont have sw that tells you within windows

def temps or graffic card. Game for a little while then check temps. see if they appere to be getting high...check bios if software is inacurate. If tempa re norm then it is mostliky a grafic card problem.

You probably need to add a fan or two inside the case because the issue almost certainoy has to be heat. And if you rare doing much gaming, you need a real video card anyway.
