System crashed due to wrong intallation steps

Specs: Windows XP, DDR2
Hi friends im using windows xp sp2 but last weak i tried to boot up system with help of cd but unknowingly i select installation step so that my system start to install windows xp sp3 since i inserted sp2 cd so my system automatically restarted & after welcome screen insted of showing installation screen it shows BLACK screen & one of comp.service man told me that the system is CRASHED so what do to solve this prob.

You are going to have to reinstall the Operating System. Interrupting an installation process has left the system in an unknown state.

You could try an repair install first as that will keep you data intact.

Go into your BIOS and set your CD drive to be first in boot order. Put in your XP disk and restart. It should go to an install screen, or it might ask you to press any key to boot from CD, then it will go to the instal screen.
