System Crash when i burn a CD

ok i have a hp 8200internal cdrw system with winxp pro i use nero the latest version and when i burn a cd it crashes or my system freeze at like half way of the burning process i successfully burned 2 cd before. i have a 40 gig hdd partion with 4 gig and 34 gig

Try to update the windows xp from microsoft website. There is some issues with winxp and cd burning software.

Two things come to mind. Make sure your disk is not defragmented and secondly make sure you have enough available memory. Burning cd's takes a lot of free memory.
